Feminist groups have campaigned tirelessly to draw attention to their claim that one in five women on college campuses are victims of sexual assault. This figure was completely debunked by a December 2014 U.S. Department of Justice report which found that non-students are 25% more likely to be victims of sexual assault than students.
In fact, the actual rate of female college students becoming sexual assault victims is 6.1 per 1,000 students, compared to 7.6 per 1,000 people for non-students. That means that just 0.03-in-5 female students, not one in five, are victims of sexual assault.
The myth of the college campus rape epidemic was prominently illustrated in November last year when it emerged that the Rolling Stone’s lurid University of Virginia gang-rape story was almost certainly fabricated. This was just one of numerous college rape scandals that turned out to be completely contrived.
“The truth is that there’s no epidemic outbreak of college rape,” writes Glenn Harlan Reynolds, a University of Tennessee law professor. “In fact, rape on college campuses is — like rape everywhere else in America — plummeting in frequency. And that 1-in-5 college rape number you keep hearing in the press? It’s thoroughly bogus, too. (Even the authors of that study say that “We don’t think one in five is a nationally representative statistic,” because it sampled only two schools.)”
While feminists are quick to condemn the ‘white male patriarchy’ for non-existent rape scandals in America, their attitude to actual rape epidemics being carried out by Muslim men across Europe has been noticeably more reserved.
UNITED KINGDOM
In 2012, it emerged that over a thousand mostly white young girls in the northern England town of Rotherham were systematically groomed, trafficked, beaten and sexually abused by rape gangs consisting of mainly Pakistani Muslim men. A report released earlier this month confirmed that the local Labour government council and the police covered up this horror because they were afraid of being characterized as racist or politically incorrect.
For over 15 years, criminal rape gangs were protected by the authorities because of their foreign ethnicity. Meanwhile, young girls were being beaten and raped, then ignored, labeled liars and left defenseless because they were white.
The reaction from feminists to this outrage, even after an initial 2013 report confirmed the depth of the scandal, was either complete silence or even tacit agreement with how the Labour government dealt with the issue.
The shocking escalation of sexual assaults against women attributed to growing immigrant Muslim populations in the Scandinavian countries of Denmark, Sweden and Norway has also been almost universally ignored by feminist groups.
DENMARK
Crime rates broken down by nationality in Denmark show that individuals from Muslim countries make up eight of the top nine places on the list. In addition, 2012 figures show that Somalis were sentenced for crimes, including innumerable sexual assaults, almost ten times more often than those with Danish citizenship.
Indeed, more than half of all convicted rapists in Denmark have an immigrant background, according to official statistics, despite the fact that immigrants and their descendants account for less than 10 per cent of the population. “Iraqis, Iranians, Turks and Somalis are dramatically overrepresented among convicted rapists in Denmark,” reports BT.dk.
When Lars Hedegaard, the President of the Danish (and International) Free Press Society, drew attention to these shocking statistics, he wasn’t hailed by feminist groups for shedding much needed light on the matter, he was found guilty of “hate speech” under section 266b of the Danish penal code.
As Phyllis Chesler, Emerita Professor of Psychology and Women’s Studies at City University of New York, points out, “Hedegaard’s crime was to note “the great number of family rapes in areas dominated by Muslim culture in Denmark.”
SWEDEN
Since it embraced multiculturalism in 1975, Sweden has become the rape capital of the west, with only the tiny African nation of Lesotho recording more sexual assaults.
Rapes in Sweden have skyrocketed by a shocking 1,472% since the mid-70’s, with 6,620 sexual assaults being reported to police in 2014 compared to just 421 in 1975.
“77.6 percent of the country’s rapists are identified as “foreigners” (and that’s significant because in Sweden, “foreigner” is generally synonymous with “immigrant from Muslim country”), writes Selwyn Duke. “And even this likely understates the issue, since the Swedish government — in an effort to obscure the problem — records second-generation Muslim perpetrators simply as “Swedes.”
Duke cites a report by the aforementioned Lars Hedegaard and his colleague Ingrid Carlqvist, two journalists who documented, “A new trend (that) reached Sweden with full force over the past few decades: gang rape — virtually unknown before in Swedish criminal history. The number of gang rapes increased spectacularly between 1995 and 2006. Since then no studies of them have been undertaken.”
Authorities have failed to properly investigate the rape epidemic over fears of offending ‘multicultural’ sensitivities – as happened in Rotherham.
“In cases of gang rape, culprits and victims are most often young and in almost every case, the perpetrators are of immigrant background, mostly from Muslim countries. In an astounding number of cases, the Swedish courts have demonstrated sympathy for the rapists. Several times the courts have acquitted suspects who have claimed that the girl wanted sex with six, seven or eight men,” states the report.
Just as in Denmark, authorities came down harder on those blowing the whistle on the Muslim rape epidemic than those actually perpetrating the assaults.
“A local Sweden Democrat Party politician named Michael Hess was convicted of the hate-speech charge “denigration of ethnic groups” for making his claim,” writes Duke. “It didn’t matter that he has lived in Muslim countries and that at his trial he presented evidence on the Sharia law position on rape; the court claimed, reports Dispatch International, “that the question of whether or not Michael Hess’s pronouncement is true, or appeared to be true to Michael Hess, has no bearing on the case.”
News outlets in Sweden also routinely fail to report the ethnicity of accused rapists, referring to them only as “Swedes”.
Last year, Swedish police also released a list of 55 “no go zones,” mostly Muslim ghettos, where law enforcement and ambulance workers are at risk of violent attack. In 2013, Stockholm suffered a wave of violent riots by mostly immigrant youths.

In Norway, almost half of all rapes committed in Oslo in 2011 were carried out by individuals of African, Middle Eastern or Asian origin, despite the fact that Muslim immigrants only represent 1.5-2 per cent of the population.
In addition, 100 per cent of aggravated rapes involving physical violence were committed by individuals of African, Middle Eastern or Asian origin.
Leftist political leaders responded to the figures by absolving “traumatized asylum seekers” of blame and instead pointed fingers at police for encouraging “xenophobia and prejudice” merely for reporting the statistics.
These statistics clearly illustrate that Europe, and particularly Scandinavia which has thrown its doors wide open to immigration in the name of multiculturalism, is suffering a rape epidemic which is almost entirely attributable to Muslim immigrants and their descendents.

So why do feminists habitually ignore crimes against women committed by way of a belief system – Islam – that treats women as second class citizens?

Feminists would rather avoid this rhetorical civil war than actually address genuine threats to gender equality.
