So that means that CTIX will have all of the solid B data compiled and ready to go for partnership negotiations while they are finishing out the K-OC Ph2 trial and will likely be able to take some strong bargaining positions.
Some scenarios I can think of:
1) If company X wants the B platform and wont pay up for it, CTIX can use K as leverage by saying "Take our terms or leave it, we have our blockbuster cancer drug finishing up it's trial, so we will just partner for it and keep B to ourselves for now."
2) If company X wants B and is very interested in K as well, CTIX can make a contingent deal that they will give B a little cheaper if company X also makes a separate lucrative deal for K. Thereby possibly getting more money between the two platforms that if they are separate.
3) If company Y wants K but wont pay up, CTIX hopefully leverages a deal they've made with B to play hardball and hold out.
Those are of course just some 'off the cuff' brain droppings. The point being that CTIX is going to have multiple pathways and bargaining chips to help them make some great deals. I am stoked that they are going to be in such a strong position within the next 4-5 months, AND I may add, I did not even take the bonus wild card Prurisol into any of these scenarios. Awesome stuff. Blue skies are rapidly approaching!!
