For the fourth quarter, the Company reported GAAP net income of $2.6 million, or $0.18 per basic and diluted share, a comprehensive loss of $6.4 million, or $0.43 per basic and diluted share, and core earnings(1) of $4.1 million, or $0.28 per basic and diluted share. For the year, the Company reported GAAP net loss of $3.1 million, or $0.21 per basic and diluted share, a comprehensive loss of $10.7 million, or $0.73 per basic and diluted share, and core earnings(1) of $16.8 million, or $1.14 per basic and diluted share. Under the stock repurchase program, the company may repurchase its common stock from time to time, in amounts, at prices and at such times as the company deems appropriate, subject to market conditions and other considerations. The company's repurchases may be executed using open market purchases (including through 10b5-1 plans), privately negotiated transactions, accelerated share repurchase programs or other transactions. The company also said its board of directors has declared monthly cash dividend rates for the first quarter of 2016 of USD0.06 per share of common stock for the months of January, February and March, payable on January 28, February 26, and March 30, 2016 to shareholders of record as of January 15, February 16 and March 15, 2016. In accordance with the terms of the 8.75 percent cumulative redeemable preferred stock (Series A), the board of directors has also declared monthly cash dividend rates for the first quarter of 2016 of USD0.1823 per share, payable January 28, February 26 and March 28 to shareholders of record as of January 15, February 16 and March 15, 2016. The company also said it has obtained approval from Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis to fund its acquisition of prime jumbo loans. The amount of any such funding will be a function of several factors, including the company's pledging of sufficient eligible collateral. Lastly, the company said Thomas M.
