Could be. I followed CTIX for quite some time but never invested because i felt it was going to continue in a downward trend; which it has.
Although not investment advice, CTIX was waaaaay overvalued last year. A company with a share price of several dollars should have a working product; CTIX did not.
This of course was the reason i refrained from investing. My gut told me the chart was going to correct itself. Even now, $1.25 share price is still overvalued. Im thinking CTX will probably even out at around .50 to .75 cents over the next several months.
Of course, back on track with AVXL... currently I see the share price of $3.37 to be extremely overvalued; despite them doing a reverse split.
I always classify my investments in one of two categories:
1. Make profit from a company knowing it probably wont go anywhere
and
2. Make profit from a company knowing it probably will go somewhere
The first one is for companies which make me a profit due to investor excitement; the 'hope' that the stock will run; knowing it will probably crash into oblivion, I sell, take my profit, and dont look back.
The second one is for companies which make me a profit because it is a serious company with real potential. These are my long plays; months to years. Im invested in several right now.
so to figure out where the heck im going with the blabbering post which probably makes no sense (I tend to ramble at times so much I even label some of my posts as "Random Ramblings"), i suppose what i am trying to say is that I classify AVXL somewhere between 1 and 2 for the time being. It will take many PRs and SEC filings to correct this issue and hopefully regain investor's trust that this product will actually work as expected. In the meantime, AVXL is more of a make profit in the short term play (if I were still invested).
