Ive been with AVXL since well before the reverse split when the price was at .17 cents and then rocketed to over $1.00
This current drop in price is nothing more than what was expected. I even posted about this last year on the 'other' board when AVXL was mentioned along with AMBS.
Although not investment advice, i dont see how any investor would expect this price to recover in a week or less. The company has always had issues with funding, and the strongest indicator that this was going to drop was the simple fact that the study involved only a handful of participants.
Although AVXL share price will have its green days, personally, I believe the share price is going to hover around these levels for at LEAST 6 months and may even see $2.00 or lower in the coming weeks.
Again, personally, for very early investors like myself, i see no need to remain invested in AVXL after the spike last september. Being a long term investor is one thing, but knowing when to take profits and run is a totally different ball game.
Staying real and looking at this from a non-investors point of view...alzheimers trials have an almost 100% failure rate. Why would AVXL do a study with so few participants? Dont forget as well, and newer investors may not understand this, AVXL was created by a reverse merger years ago from some sort of photo company.
Everyone remember the crazy AVXL run up to almost $15? completely unsustainable. investors last november were convinced it was going to continue to climb. ridiculous.
Although only my opinion, and im not a naysayer to the company, as i used to be invested, i personally believe AVXL is going nowhere for the forseable future. Hey, prove me wrong.. im not always correct in life.
