Philanthropy on full speed as summer clicks by for K-12 website developer

COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 29, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- It's the summer of love for eSchoolView as its team celebrates thrill after thrill with the gift of giving. The Columbus, Ohio-based developer of websites and educational management software for K-12 schools and support organizations is a big believer in giving back to help develop communities, at home and abroad. Students at Licking Heights High School in central Ohio return July 31 from a visit to their sister school in China, thanks in part to a $1,250 contribution from eSchoolView (it donated $1,000 in 2015 for a similar trip). The students traveled across the country as part of a Chinese Bridge Summer Camp sponsored by the Hanban and Confucius Institutes.  "At eSchoolView , we pour our hearts and souls into education because we believe in its power," Executive Director Rob O'Leary said. "We are staunch advocates of investing in relationships, investing in communities faced with need and, in turn, investing in the strength of our future."  China is not the only place on the other side of the world impacted by eSchoolView's philanthropy.  A $1,000 contribution the company made to a school and orphanage in Africa was extended this summer to provide an annual scholarship to a fourth student. The donation will help a 17-year-old single male orphan complete his schooling at St. Camillus Center for Orphans and Vulnerable Children in Mohale's Hoek District, Lesotho, a mountainous country encircled by South Africa in the most southeastern region of the continent.  "We have the opportunity to pay it forward, so we do," he said. "Our products help strengthen the relationships between schools and their audiences, but contributions like this can make an impact bigger than anything we can create."  Meanwhile, back in the states, Colorado Springs School District 11 in Colorado is the recipient of a $1,000 eSchoolView grant. The funds will be applied toward the purchase of a camera so the district is equipped with the latest technology to share information with is community.  Locally, a team of eSchoolView riders is in the midst of raising funds to contribute to The Ohio State University' comprehensive cancer center. The five are set to bike 50 miles in Pelotonia 16 to support the cause on Aug. 6 and will collect at least $7,500. eSchoolView serves hundreds of schools and educational organizations across the country. Its Content Management System (CMS) and other software is designed specifically for K-12 schools. CIOReview recently named eSchoolView as one of 50 Most Promising Education Tech Solution Providers. eSchoolView was also created in 2008. Since then, its revenue growth lands the company near the top third (at 1907) of Inc. Magazine's 5000 list of fastest growing privately held companies in the U.S. for the second consecutive year.
