Baltimore Mayor: Judge's Rulings in Officer Trials 'Fair,' Mosby's Words 'Unhelpful'

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake reacted to prosecutors dropping homicide charges against the remaining police officers in the death of Freddie Gray, following the acquittals of three other officers.

Baltimore State Attorney Marilyn Mosby, announcing the decision, said there was "an obvious bias" among some officers investigating the case and said they stood by the medical examiner's determination that Gray's death was a homicide.

Shepard Smith asked Rawlings-Blake if justice was served.

"Justice is a process and the process was fair. And it was even," Rawlings-Blake said.

She would not comment on the Mosby's handling of the cases, but said Circuit Judge Barry G. Williams made the determination based on the information that was provided to him, and "made a decision that was fair."

The mayor said that Baltimore State Attorney Marilyn Mosby's words were "absolutely not helpful, when you insinuate that the process is rigged."

"And that is I think an unfair statement about the judge and about the investigation, especially when she purported to do her own independent investigation in her initial press conference," she said.

She would not respond to Trump's comment that Mosby acted "disgracefully" and "should prosecute herself."
