M2 - Wed Sep 16, 4:50AM CDT
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/hp2mvh/oilfield_services) has announced the addition of the "Oilfield Services Market by Type (Coiled Tubing, Well Completion, Well Intervention, Pressure Pumping, OCTG, Drilling Waster Management, Drilling & Completion Fluids, and Wireline ), & by Region - Global trends & Forecast to 2020" report to their offering. The global oil and gas production has increased over the last five years from 81.149 Million barrels per day in 2009 to 88.673 Million barrels per day in 2014. This has led to the supply for oil & gas exceeding its demand which has ultimately caused a decline in the prices of crude oil during the last six months of 2014. Oilfield services are used for varied purposes over the entire well life cycle that includes exploration, drilling, completion, stimulation, production, and intervention among others. The oilfield services which are used for production activities such as well intervention services, wireline services, and coiled tubing services among others, are expected to grow at a higher CAGR when compared to the overall oilfield services market during the forecast period. The market for oilfield services is projected to grow with a CAGR of 5.0% from 2015 to 2020. The crude oil prices are expected to increase progressively in the short term and are estimated to reach USD 80/ barrel by 2018. This rebound in oil price will be spurred by the delay in capacity addition as the oil & gas companies are currently shelving new projects to reduce their capital expenditure. With the increase in the price of crude oil, the investments for E&P activities will also increase which will lead to new projects in regions that are looking to overturn their production decline such as Europe and Asia-Pacific. This will in turn create further demand for the oilfield services in these regions. Growing production activities both on onshore and offshore regions have encouraged the demand for oilfield services for oil & gas wells. Moreover, new discoveries in offshore regions of Africa and South America coupled with the increase in unconventional oil & gas production in North America has further increased the demand for oilfield services. Leading providers of oilfield services are focussing on both developed as well as developing countries due to the critical nature of the oilfield services which allow it to be used over the entire well life cycle. The market has been segmented into On the basis of Service Type - Coiled Tubing Services - Well Completion Equipment & Services - Well Intervention Services - Pressure Pumping Services - Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) - Drilling Waste Management Services - Drilling & Completion Fluids Services - Wireline Services On the basis of Application - Onshore - Offshore Key Topics Covered: 1 Introduction 2 Research Methodology 3 Executive Summary 4 Premium Insights 5 Market Overview 6 Oilfield Services Market, By Application 7 Oilfield Services Market, By Service Type 8 Oilfield Services Market, By Region 9 Competitive Landscape 10 Company Profiles - Archer Limited - Baker Hughes Incorporated - Basic Energy Services Inc. - Calfrac Well Services Ltd. - Expro International Group - Halliburton Company - Key Energy Services - Nabors Industries Ltd. - National Oilwell Varco, Inc. - Pioneer Energy Services - Precision Drilling Corporation - Schlumberger Limited - Superior Energy Services Inc. - Trican Well Service Ltd. - Weatherford International Ltd. Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/rsgnbf/hydraulic) has announced the addition of the "Hydraulic Workover Unit Market by Application, by Services & by Region - Global Trends & Forecast to 2019" report to their offering. The hydraulic workover unit market is estimated to reach $12.2 billion at a CAGR of 6.6% from 2014 to 2019. To meet the growing demand for energy particularly in developing countries, there is a need for increasing the need for optimal utilization of oil and gas reserves across the globe. This is evident through the ever increasing wells being drilled all over the world. Over a period of time, a well shows decline in production due to the decrease in the reservoir pressure. Depending upon the geological formation, this decline can be either gradual or steep. For the purpose of slowing down the production decline, operations such as well intervention are undertaken. With the large number of exploration and production activities taking place across the globe, the market for hydraulic workover unit is growing. The oil & gas industry witnesses high number of the E&P activities every year which is undertaken to meet the growing global energy demand. Hydraulic workover units form an integral part of the well lifecycle and can be used on the drilling, completion and workover phases. It provides increased lifting capacity during well intervention operations which cannot be performed using either a wireline or a coiled tubing unit. Furthermore, the increase in the petroleum production from the regions, such as the Middle East and North America, has exceeded the oil & gas demand which has resulted in the sudden decline of oil prices during the end of 2014. Hydraulic workover unit also allows the operator to perform workover operations on live wells. This is a unique feature offered by hydraulic workover unit which is particularly useful while performing well intervention on gas wells. The size of the overall market is determined by forecasting techniques based region-wise well count of both producing wells as well as the new wells that were drilled in different geographical regions which are validated through primary sources. With the high demand for the energy in African, the Middle Eastern and Asian region there has been an increase in the exploration activities in those regions. This has enhanced the coiled tubing market which is estimated to grow and reach value of approx. $4.3 billion at a CAGR of 7-8% from 2014 to 2019. Coiled Tubing is used as a cost effective solution for numerous well workover and intervention applications with the key advantage of the ability to continuously circulate through the tubing while utilizing the CT pressure control equipment in treating a live well. The tool string at the bottom of the coil is called as Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA). It can be a simple jetting nozzle, to pump chemicals or cement through the coil or large string of logging tools. The coiled tube is straightened before being inserted into a wellbore and is re-spooled back onto the reel after completion of the operation in the wellbore. The key CT service categories include well intervention services, including well completion &well cleaning, CT drilling, and others. Some of the key uses of CT include circulation, pumping, logging, perforation, and production. Potential increase in recoverable resources and increased exploration and production, and completion activities are the most important drivers for the coiled tubing services market. Coiled tubing services are used to enhance both oil and natural gas production, while these services are necessary for any type of well in order to complete it and enhance production. Increasing focus toward natural gas production also require coiled tubing services. North American is the largest market for Coiled Tubing, followed by Europe.
