Well I suppose...
But here in Michigan they have school of choice in the public schools. Doesn't work in the rural schools to much distance and teachers Unions. My son is a honor student rural school. There are about 80 of them out of 400 kids in his High School. The teacher tells his class. "The only reason she come to work is for the honor student."
So you have 80 kids being taught. Lets say each of the 80 have 2 kids that is 160. have the same teacher that means you'll have 32 honor student off spring and it goes down each cycle. Sooner or later you have nothing but a country of dumbasses.
The Catholic and Christian Schools (The Elites) do the same thing. picking and choosing there best and brightest. They also don't pay there teacher as well as public schools. So they are not getting the best and brightest teachers. Sooner or later they also have a bunch of dumbasses.
Other problem is the teachers are very liberal up here...turning everything they touch into socialist.
That is why you have to have standard and rules for the teachers and the students Teachers Unions are becoming bad.
Same cycle in parenting... Elites or Common doesn't matter, few set any principles or rules for there kids at home.
All it comes down to is training your kids in school to take a SAT or ACT which every in your state and passing it
