RNC official Statement Condemning David Duke’s Senate Candidacy
WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus released the following statement condemning David Duke’s run for Louisiana Senate:
“David Duke and his hateful bigotry have no place in the Republican Party, and the RNC will never support his candidacy under any circumstance,” said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus. “It will always be the mission of the Republican Party to uphold the American values of liberty and equality, and David Duke’s record as a career hate-monger in no way fits with our commitment to being the Party of the open door. This candidacy has no place in 21st century
America, and we will do our part to make sure he never holds elected office
. I condemn in the strongest terms David Duke’s toxic politics of division and
hate, and call on all Republicans to do the same.”
