Being positive on an investment doesn't make you a pumper. I never tried to convince any of my friends or family to invest in NTEK because of the risk here.
But I went to this investment with eyes wide open. I found the stock on my own. No one told me or convinced me to invest. I saw the pumps and saw the bashing before I invested a cent. I decided everyone was full of crap and had their own agendas. Many still do
I made the investment decision based on the research I did, figuring this company will be doing very well in 5 years or so if they survived the obstacles they need to overcome to be successful, the most daunting being a penny stock on the OTC where there are scams abound and 95% of the companies end up becoming "No Bid"
You have to understand this going in......not having the expectation of possible failure is incredibly naive....no matter what people try to tell you.
You can have the best management team in the world and still have other factors overwhelm you and cause you to fail.
I went into this stock with the intent of making a nice profit, but certainly not "all in" or expecting to become an over night millionaire.
That goes completely against the investment strategies used by the most successful investors in the world.
Any money I put into NTEK I was mentally prepared to lose as soon as I hit the "buy" button, but still hoping for a positive outcome. I figured the odds better than 50/50. Much better than a lottery ticket..
Becoming an overnight millionaire is not a realistic expectation for most unless you are really get really lucky or have inside info. It is easy to get caught up in the fervor....
If I went in with that strategy and expectation and had no knowledge of what it takes to get a business off the ground or how to evaluate it's progress over time, or and just focused on making money as quickly as I can without digging into what makes the company tick, I would be really pissed too I suppose.
Seventy percent of new business fail after the first 5 years.....
I was surprised as well that they didn't stick with private funding. There are a lot of VC's that would have backed NTEK . In hindsight they probably should have. I would have saved them a lot of grief.
I think your right about having an opportunity to get in to a company with the potential they have. They have the tech, the management team and the timing.
Lets hope they are smart enough and strong enough to overcome the pitfalls still ahead....lets see how they execute.....
GL to all of us.
