Look, the SS withholding cap is artificially low. Allowing all of the earning above $135K to go without SS withholding guarantees that those below that figure are paying proportionately more of their income into SS.
Reagan and O'Neill struck a bargain on SS 30 years ago. Time for another one.

Set up a log in and password. You can go in and look at the income subject to withholding, for every job you had that had SS withholding.
