Yes, that IS how it 'works' for the irony challenged wannabe theocrats who believe 'love of their leader' is uniquely a Sharia principle.
It's as American as apple pie and as contemporary as the GOP and those of its supporters looking for a mailed fist to punish all of their imagined tormenters, domestic and foreign.
The most belligerent of them never got closer to a uniform than when they opened the door to buy cookies or when they were pulled over to take a breathalyzer.
That in itself is not a 'bad' thing but the willingness to send someone else's kid or grandkid to do the fighting they couldn't be bothered with, when it was' their time,' all under the guise of keeping them 'safe', IS a bad thing
Sad thing is, most of them have never felt safe and never will.
Trump won't find the money, after his ruinous tax cuts, to either build a military so strong 'no one will mess with us'.........overlooking the asymmetrical war that guarantees we'll be messed with.....or to build the world class infrastructure he promises.
