FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE - HEMP FARMING
Post# of 75002
I just returned from Maui. This past year in January, the state voted to end commercial sugar farming after over 150 years. They can no longer compete. What have they voted to replace it? Yup...HEMP! The House and Senate both voted to approve commercial Hemp farming to replace the failing sugarcane and they just need the governor's signature; which they expect anytime now.
I have to say - it's really sad that they can no longer produce sugar for profit. I am thankful they will be able to replace it with hemp. They need a better way to make money other than tourism.
RMHB long and strong y'all,
