If the low dose works well enough, or say the 2nd

Since this is an unblinded test, everyone knows right away whether it's helping someone. I know that people are going to start criticizing CTIX for not doing a double-blind test. Tell me -- does anyone think it would be ethical to subject people to daily enemas, and sigmoidoscopies at the beginning and end of the trial, if they were getting PLACEBO? Nope, I didn't think so. So, anyone who posts elsewhere, when they start criticizing, please remind them that this is an invasive procedure that most ethically can be tested only by using the real thing.
How many people would sign up for a clinical trial involving this level of discomfort, knowing that they had only a 50/50 chance of getting the real drug?
