Rob O'Neill: 'Political Correctness Gone Mad' Hurt
Post# of 65629
Rob O'Neill, the former Navy SEAL who killed Usama bin Laden, said that the U.S. military is handcuffed in the war on terror by overbearing rules of engagement.
He explained that our enemies are not only aware of what service members are allowed to do, but also what they're not allowed to do.
O'Neill pointed to the practice of dropping leaflets to areas targeted in the anti-ISIS bombing campaign, informing people of where airstrikes can be expected.
"It's part of this political correctness gone mad," O'Neill said.
As the threat of radical Islamic terror - particularly from ISIS - grows, O'Neill said that he would a adopt a much different strategy than President Obama.
He called for U.S.-led boots on the ground in Raqqa, Syria, the Islamic State's stronghold.
"Get some boots on the ground in there. It's going to be some door-to-door fighting, and it's going to be dangerous. There will be collateral damage, but it's got to happen," O'Neill said. "There's a global jihad going on ... We are in a global war."
