Ruth Bader Ginsburg apologized for her criticism of Donald Trump Thursday, calling her comments “ill-advised."
“I regret making them. Judges should avoid commenting on candidates,” she in a statement. "In the future I will be more circumspect.”
The mea culpa comes after a week of feuding between the Supreme Court justice and the presumptive GOP presidential nominee.

Ginsburg began her attack during an interview with the New York Times, when she was asked about her thoughts on a potential Trump presidency.
“I can’t imagine what this place would be — I can’t imagine what the country would be — with Donald Trump as our President,” she said. “For the country, it could be four years. For the court, it could be — I don’t even want to contemplate that.”
She also joked about how it might be time “to move to New Zealand.”
On Tuesday, the 83-year-old justice, often affectionately called the Notorious RBG, doubled down on her criticism.
James Freedland: Ginsburg hates Donald Trump. So what?
"He is a faker," Ginsburg said. “He has no consistency about him. He says whatever comes into his head at the moment.”
The repeated condemnation prompted the billionaire bully to fire back — and call for her resignation.
“Justice Ginsburg of the U.S. Supreme Court has embarrassed all by making very dumb political statements about me,” Trump tweeted early Wednesday. “Her mind is shot — resign!”
He followed up with more threatening tweets later in the day.
