Its principal product is CytoSorb device, an extracorporeal cytokine filter designed for the adjunctive therapy in the treatment of sepsis; for the adjunctive therapy in other critical care applications; the prevention of post-operative complications of cardiopulmonary bypass surgery and damage to organs donated by brain-dead donors prior to organ harvest; the treatment of cancer cachexia; the prevention of transfusion reactions caused by contaminants in transfused blood products; and the prevention of contrast induced nephropathy, the treatment of drug overdose, and the treatment of chronic kidney failure.
