Where did all this talk of splits and reverse spli

Where did all this talk of splits and reverse splits come from... Side not to me spit or reverse split or no split really doesnt matter... If i have 500k at 1$ or 1m at .5 or 250k at 2$ its all the same.. % are % and just as it is that its harder to gain % at a higher number it is also harder to lose them... If long is the goal then a r/s isnt a bad thing imo it gets more money to the table as every trade aftr it is at a higher price then if it didnt happen... Allows u to get larger amounts of money in and out easier on less volume.. Also the stock being at a higher prices encourages larger money to come to the table.. While i love the upside of the pinks most of the wealthy guys i know wont touch em.. They would rather own an index then a startup .. Imo an r/s instantly give the stock more substance... Also limits the ability of day traders to control the pps and allows actual company numbers to influence price rather then bulls and babies exchanging on emotion.. But again where did all this spilt banter come from did i miss a memmo?
