If Mr. Heddle had contacted just two to three potential customers each month then over the last three years he should have contacted about a hundred potential customers...and really with PTOI burning *only* $1,000,000 each month before the cash dried up, Mr. Heddle probably didn't see any urgency in contacting any more customers than that per month. "Another $333,000 gone?? Maybe I'll call Waste Management this Friday and see if they're interested."
Rumor has it that those hundred customers saw the incredible value of the processor but told Mr. Heddle to take his bedeviled money-making processor away because they didn't want to deal with the 35% tax rate on all of that money they would be making. Full disclosure: I just made up that rumor--Mr. Heddle himself hasn't given any reason in the past three years as to why prospective customers aren't even willing to test drive the processor.
