This case makes the case for the importance of government...the vast majority of citizens and the overwhelming number of small investors want fair, regulated markets. I love what Leo has done to protect my investment from obvious criminal manipulation. Nonetheless, he has been forced to divert time and resources from his life saving work to seek justice.
THAT IS WRONG
If DOJ treated the Mako thugs the same way they treat crack users then our massive prison population would look a lot different...and I would argue Mako has a more deleterious effect on society than crack heads. The problem is that crack users cant contribute unlimited amounts of dark money to soulless politicians who defang enforcement under the twisted theory that government is evil and somehow is the enemy of freedom....freedom my ass....nobody should be free to steal money and lives.
Every asshole involved in the CTIX takedown should be frogmarched right into a federal courtroom. Taxes are the price we pay for civilization and I expect mine to be used to keep my investments as safe as my medicine, food, air and water.
Deregulation of the markets is a greenlight for thieves just like Mako et al. Its like plutonium. You leave it lying around and terrible things happen. You control it in a reactor and just the opposite occurs.
Despite all this I hope all my fellow longs persevere....CTIX is going to make a difference in a lot of lives
