Let's set the record straight. First off I'm sure this will immediately be deleted, but anyway the truth should be told.
You know nothing of this man or the circumstances of the bankruptcies. McKay could have taken a huge payout from the sellers and walked away from Southwest. He didn't, because the buyers wouldn't guarantee continuing employment for the employees. So he opted for bankruptcy. The plan failed, but he did it only to try to protect employee jobs.
While he ran Southwest an employee was killed in a car accident. The employee left behind a young wife and very young son. McKay paid all the funeral costs and paid the wife her deceased husband's wages for almost 2 years including raises and bonuses. He told nobody about this. We found out through the wife. That's the character of the man you bash. You have no idea what integrity is.
