I agree that something is happening as the short percentage is tiny compared to what it has been historically. Selling appears to have stopped. Could buying have come to a standstill as well and the reason the short percentage is so low is due to the fact that the MM's are still processing wash trades at the previous rate? Next week could be very very interesting with the impact of the value of the pound decreasing as it has so far. Are some of our shorts operating from England and will they get margin calls? Our markets are fraud filled and the derivatives could be deadly for some. Stay tuned things are starting to heat up.
