I agree. I also think that Leo has something up his sleeve here. No way would he be starting the Brilacidin-UP trial if he didn't feel confident of funding. He's seen what happened to PYMX (which did NOT have the science behind it -- their gigantic doses of Brilacidin made it appear to be unsafe, which in those doses it was -- but not in the doses CTIX is using - thank you Dr Menon). PYMX got overextended and put their resources behind the wrong drug instead of Brilacidin, in an all-or-nothing Hail Mary play -- and they lost.
Leo knows how to get things done on a low budget. He has also learned about disclosing plans too soon, so I don't think we will get any info until a deal has been signed.
In the Viet Nam war era, when the Paris negotiations started, the American team stayed at a hotel. The VietNamese delegation leased a house -- with a FIVE YEAR lease. That was a symbol that they would not be rushed. CTIX won't be rushed into a bad deal either.
