Biotech Sector Report; Potential Rebound for These Four Biotech Securities

NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / February 1, 2016 / MannKind Corporation (NASDAQ: MNKD), Fate Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: FATE), Raptor Pharmaceutical Corp. (NASDAQ: RPTP), and Zafgen Inc. (NASDAQ: ZFGN) are four tickers in the biotech space currently suffering due to the overall poor market sentiment towards the space. The biotech sector has had a cruel start to the year. The Nasdaq Biotechnology Index is down 18% so far in 2016, and is now off about 30% since its July peak. This fall in market value has led to potential opportunities for big players in the space to pick up valuable assets are very low prices. While large drugmakers have hardly been exempt from the pain, the selloff should present a chance for them to find some cheap deals.
