Re: Bhawks #11318
I gave you so much...and you failed to even pursue such. Let me just start with these so called "gifts". Warren and his group acquired Berkshire Hathaway circa 1965. the average per share price was around 14 1/2 USD per share(let's round it to $15.00). He converts those class A share into class B shares at a conversion ratio of 1 to 1500 per share. He then gifts them avoiding a capital gains tax of 15% at a limit of 30% of his AGI(agusted gross income). He is able to deduct that from his personal taxes(up to five years if going over the limit).

Before I go into detail with regards to these "charitable" contributions ...which are a means to avoid paying taxes....appreciate this:

Quote:
About 20 modular classroom units under construction in Georgia will be shipped to Haiti with more on the way as a result of a partnership between Clayton Homes Inc. and a former U.S. president who is leading rebuilding efforts in the earthquake-devastated country.

The Blount County-based manufacturer of modular homes and buildings has signed a $1 million contract with the Clinton Foundation to provide the classrooms.

So as he donates to the Clinton Foundation....that same foundation gives a Berkshire Hathaway company a rough USD 1 million in orders(Clayton Homes).

Small in scope until you compound that with other donations..ie...Bill gates...etc...etc....and business owned by Berkshire hathaway

Just a few links here:

I left a lot out because ....I doubt you will refer to any of them...as most individuals do when it comes to the real truth. This is not a left/right "thing".

Do you understand what the Bill Gates foundation does with awarding grants? Do understand how money is channeled through other entities to avoid tax...."through gifting"...??????...do you understand how the money is granted to those selected situations and the partners of such?

Do you understand this:

Do you see this?.....be it understand...?.:

ref: http://www.secform4.com/insider-trading/315090.htm

Do you understand that through gifting stock...that you are able to deduct up to 30% of your AGI..?....again adjusted gross income. Do you understand that when you gift a foundation that is controlled by essentially your own company ....that you can funnel that money back into your other companies? Do you understand that those Foundations that received such as a gift are not taxed if sold? .... eh?

ref: http://www.berkshirehathaway.com/subs/sublinks.html

ref: http://blogs.wsj.com/totalreturn/2011/10/19/w...ally-earn/

I'll stop there for now....if you haven't realized this...I have a major disdain of Holding Companies(not all)....and even more of one when it comes to an individual playing a "saint" when it comes to sporting the notion of taxing the rich more...when in fact...he's a fckn' total hypocrite playing the game

This is just a hint with regards to such....and I do not care which side you are on.........just get a grip and realize that . he is playing the game for business interest only....and his gifting is bullshit given the fact that it comes back to Berkshire..et al...be it himself in personal deductions.

Gifting stock is great....you can use it against your AGI and make more than your original investment due to the deduction...and then play it with networking and allow that money to come back into your Company.

Much more to this...as in inventory...drugs...etc...etc...etc..

Look at the Gates Foundation and awarded grants(which is wonderful)...then review the partners that attached themselves to such.

Ever hear of Lubrizol???????...eh?

Did you look into Johns Manville...and association that with Forrest River?....think of the trailer camper roofs..ie...epdm(40 mil of course)....etc.

I am just getting started....it's not as political as much as the over reaching of a Holding Company...which in turn.....attaches itself to politics.
