The basic model of the phone is $750. The premium is $950.
Unless they find a way to make it ultra cheap and sell it at Bestbuy/Walmart I don't see it capturing any of the phone market. People aren't going to give up their Samsung's/Apples for some brand they've never heard of. Especially at $750. Having a projector in the phone isn't that big of a deal. You can buy projectors now for $50. The projector doesn't have 4k resolution. From the videos I've watched it looks pretty bad. Very low lumens. 4K projectors are super expensive. To me this is just a gimmick. Not a gimmick that will drive sales. Maybe in the business world, but those people aren't going to be watching rental movies. What's to stop people from watching Netflix/Amazon/Hulu on it?
I find the tablets more interesting. Sadly they are just as expensive. They aren't cheaper than an Ipad/Windows Tablet/Kindle so why would anyone buy one? A school wouldn't if an Ipad is cheaper/same price. I'm not sure if the projector inside is worth the extra $200-$300. This is an idea that is probably 5-10 years late.
I think as investors we need to stop posting like this phone is going somewhere. It's probably not. It's definitely not going to drive sales for us.
