In an interview today, Ehrlich said the ruling was a “win for biotechs everywhere.”

Ehrlich declined to comment on the possibility of sanctions against the law firm until he spoke to Sullivan, but said be believes “it’s appropriate.” Ehrlich said that anecdotally, he’s already seen — and others in the industry have told him — a decrease in “frivolous” shareholder lawsuits.

“This has really changed the biotech industry already,” he said.
