The psychic discomfort that people experience when confronted with facts and evidence that contradict what they believe.
Most commonly experience by 'belief centric' conservatives whose credulousness sets them up for disappointment after disappointment.
Example: The 'unskewed polls' that a conservative came up with when the majority of polling showed Romney losing. Those polls were of course accurate.
Watch that happen again, after Hillary pulls out to a lead on Trump.
