If you look at past and current hot spots around the globe(ie middle east..Pakistan and India..etc)...you'll notice that it is mainly due to divestiture by foreign empire builders(colonization to the extreme). Some of it was by force(let's call it a "hostile take over"
....but with regards to the UK...not as much so.
