Yeah, and in reality for those that bought Monster Beverages early and just added as they went, the share price is actually WAY higher than that!! Look at the forward splits in the last 11 years. The first split I saw would have doubled their shares, the 2nd split would have quadrupled their shares and the last split would've doubled their shares again. So, if you had 50k shares going into the first forward split @ 2 for 1 in August 2005, you'd have 100k and price/share would be cut in half. PPS keeps rising and just one year later (not quite) in July 2006 they execute a 4 for 1 split and now you have 400k shares and the price is reduced to just 1/4 of what it was prior to the split. Investors upset? Only those that still don't see the light. Roll ahead another 6 years, and even though it did experience a slight slump as did most companies affected by the economic collapse of '08, it came back and trended up strongly and they executed another 2 for 1 forward split. Your shares are now at 800k. The PPS is cut in half again and still it's at about $62 and in just a few months in June 2012 it's increased to about $71/share. I chose to start with just 100k since a small reverse split to up list to the AMEX board in a couple of years might leave you down on share count thinking you're screwed, but in no way are you screwed as you can clearly see as long as the company is prospering. The 800k shares of Monster Beverages would now be worth about 120 million dollars. This isn't an "apples to apples" comparison. I didn't dig to see what the IPO price was, nor did I look closely at Hanson's Natural prior to. However, I could easily see people here holding 100k give or take and in a price range of at least dollars/share, post RS if it were a low ratio split. It may not even prove to be necessary to qualify for the AMEX up-list. If this brand really explodes it won't be.
