Can a struggling company turn itself around? Of
Post# of 283
Of course it can! This is the power behind enterprise. Owning a pile of scrap metal with the mindset, "What a bunch of useless junk" is one way to look at it. Another person may turn that junk into a sculpture and sell it for thousands of dollars.
In the same manner, a company can be transformed from something broken and useless to something of substance. I'm currently involved in another stock which was a struggling company years ago on the edge of bankruptcy. And yet now, with new management, new ideas, and a better focus, this company is on the verge of major international sales. Obviously, there were people who doubted this company's ability to revive itself; and yet they did.
On the other hand, even successful companies can make poor decisions. Have you read about Microsoft's current problem of having to fire almost 2,000 employees because their smartphone was a FLOP? It's costing Microsoft one BILLION dollars due to the market not wanting their smartphone concept.
And so, this shows that ALL businesses, whether giants like Microsoft or OTC companies like BSSP, can have their ups and downs. But this doesn't mean a 'down' has to keep them down. Being down is when management has the opportunity to reevaluate what didn't work and figure a way to make it work.
BSSP has been down a very long road of both struggle and success. Personally, this upcoming name change (among other things) shows me management realized a change was needed. And indeed, a change is currently underway.
For myself, as an investor, its not my job to remain invested with BSSP for all eternity. Its my job to determine both my entry point, and more importantly, my exit point. In all, the current changes taking place in this stock, along with investor sentiment on the rise, and including my own personal DD, keeps me invested for the short term in BSSP.
And because I did not invest more than I can afford to lose, this investment makes sense.
Let's see what happens. Not investment advice.
