The chip deal was a pretty good idea since it didn't cost HJOE any money or shares to do it. While it will bring in more revenue for HJOE and give the dealers another product line to sell. Since the dealers visit most of the same stores anyway to sell the shots it doesn't cost them money or time to sell the chips to these stores.
HJOE is also coming out with another product line soon that will be branded by them. Again the dealer network is already in place so it makes good sense to take advantage of it. Plus having more products for the dealers to sell will increase interest from others in purchasing dealerships for markets not already covered. It doesn't take up any of the company's time (other than negotiating the chip deal in the first place) or detract from their main focus.
