AFeuerstein is almost the definition of a troll. We CTIX longs should feel fully validated when AF takes the same position as the bashers and shorts over on IHub.... all at the same time as Prurisol clearly shows effectiveness in the 200 mg dosage. As Leo said, the study was NOT powered for statistical significance.
Menon and Leo did a great job with the Prurisol Ph2 study. I'm sure they will have a productive meeting with the FDA and will push for whichever expeditious approach FDA will approve, whether that is direct to Ph3, a Ph2b/3 or another Ph2 dose escalation study. All sorts of permutations are possible.
I look forward to the release of the full Ph2 data set. While the effect of 50mg and 100mg doses on study participants was not statistically different from the placebo group in this study - which was not powered for statistical significance - we do not know if there were indications of efficacy among those groups or not. [Think better and better responses, but not reaching stat sig.]
We will also see whether the non-compliant researcher at one site has their data removed.
I have full confidence in Leo and Menon, and voted with my money yesterday by buying more shares on the dip.
