Has anyone considered that the court filing dates for both the plaintiff and the defendant may be about discovery and interrogatories? It seems to me that, absent those, the litigators haven't the information to fully understand and plead the case or counterclaim. We could be a long way off from a resolution considering that the attorneys are not going to be settlement minded until such time as they have what they need to consider the facts of the case. Let's stop trying to litigate this case in a public forum ahead of the work needing to be done by the actual litigators before they hold the knowledge they need to provide adequate counsel to their clients. I own several companies and am constantly embroiled in some kind of litigation. Although it is always important, I never let it consume me to the point of keeping me from the work of advancing the profitability of my enterprises. There is much that we don't know about the inside workings of this case and, therefore, much of what is posted here is speculative. Personally, I doubt that a settlement is in the offing. The nature of attorneys is to play things out as long as possible before settlement. It is in their financial best interest.
