Quantum Materials has begun shipping additional deliveries of cadmium-free quantum dot samples to its partners and is scheduled to increase shipment quantities as development reaches pre-commercial scale later this year. The Company anticipates that, in conjunction with its partners, commercial quantities of a high performance cadmium-free quantum dot film will be available to display manufacturers in early 2017
James,in order to have commercial film available in early 2017 to display manufacturers ( meaning more than 1 ) you have to have ramped up delivery in 2016..If you read carefully above you will see that is what they are saying.They state shipment quantities as well as pre commercial scale..that is definitely for quantities beyond samples.
Following the company guidelines you will see that in Q2 they have met these goals early and can now generate income from sales which we should see in the next Q
Calendar Q2-2016 (April 1 – June 30)
• Complete commercial design of cadmium-free quantum dot film for OEM display panel industry (with partner)
• Complete commercial design of cadmium quantum dot film for OEM display panel industry (with partner)

• Begin generating revenues from quantum dot material sales
• Establish offshore manufacturing capacity

• Increase I.P. portfolio
