Important to remember is that they are referring to industrial hemp, not special high quality CBD rich hemp which is considered to be medicinal/nutritional hemp. It's a special strain which is grown for that reason only, not for rope, textiles, paper, etc. The opposite can be true of some strains of high THC containing cannabis since the CBD content can actually be lower as the selective hybridization has been conducted with the primary focus on increasing the THC content. This is in no way meant to suggest all high THC containing Cannabis is low in CBD content, just to remind everyone that it's actually not always as simple as some articles tend to indicate. It's actually a little more dynamic than that. The other confusing bit is that Hemp and Marijuana are both Cannabis plants. When articles are written suggesting that Hemp is not Cannabis, they are mistaken. They are mainly the same, but MJ has been grown and tweaked for medicinal/recreational use leading to some strains available in modern times that have a higher THC percentage than ever before. The main thin to remember is that some strains of Hemp with barely any (traces) THC CAN be high in CBD and can be cold pressed using the whole plant for full spectrum nutritional benefits. Those versions of Cannabis containing high levels of both THC and CBD definitely also have a medicinal importance because the THC has distinct and very beneficial medicinal properties. Concentrated oil made from those strains are actually better for certain ailments due to enhanced pain mitigation as well as mood enhancement, and of course the CBD benefits. It simply needs to be used with more caution due to the intoxicating content, and is of course not legal everywhere, YET! Just for the record, I support full legalization of Marijuana with nearly the same regulatory guidelines currently used for alcohol. The arguments against it are lame, rooted in fear as a result of misinformation or personal traumatic experiences from unfortunate isolated incidents.
