QD technology is here to stay and has really put the dagger in the heart of OLED with this new product line by Samsung. It was clear when I was at CES that the bell had been rung and OEMS had better get on board.Eventually OLED will use qd phosphors and it's transition will be complete. The interesting take is the picture quality is great even in bright lighting and the side viewing is far better than I expected. At CES 2016 LG had their OLED tvs in dark viewing areas to give a better visual effect. As we all know general viewing on tvs are done in lighted areas most of the time so having to darken the room to get the best out of OLED doesn't make sense. With Samsung ringing up big sales with their qd tvs I would guess LG is rethinking their strategy. ..or have they walked to far down the plank? I would suggest the latest financials at LG tells the story.Samsung saying no to LG to join them in OLED development was clear enough I would say.
