From my business law courses 40 years ago, any company not in the same
business; say you are not selling burgers; even in the same same city / county or State, still can use the same name.
In my city white page; I find Wendy's (burgers of course); Wendy's Bridal
Gallery; Wendy's Gymnastics & Fitness ; Wendy's International LLC etc etc.
From our web-site:
NanoLogix®, Inc. is a biotechnology company specializing in live cell, rapid diagnostics......(and the other company- in the field of respiratory masks ..)
Although US (common law) and EU (civil law); I doubt patents on entirely different fields will have any conflicts........just my 2 cents.
