At least, they were cured until they, um "sacrificed" them so that they could be necropsied -- so the mice didn't live out their full possible lifespans. And it is always possible that stuff works differently in humans than it does in mice, so maybe it would require periodic courses of treatment.
But still -- what if it IS a cure? What if a doctor someday can say to someone, "It's okay, it's just psoriasis, here's a prescription for a drug that will knock it right out."
