Last 90 min of a trading day is fund time aka (power hr) If you own a fund -- that last 90 min determines where you are bought in or sold off pre close - the last 90 min creates some exciting closes.
Also for chartists -almost daily market moves after open some days get semi flat -- at 11am (10am cst) we normaly have sweet moves in both directions -- I call this my 10 am train. Can make 2-3% in 15 min around that window
