BREAKING: Gang Of Powerful House Members Issue Game-Changing Trump Statement
The efforts of billionaire businessman and presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump to bring congressional Republicans on board with his candidacy appears to be paying off following his successful meeting with Speaker of the House Paul Ryan on Thursday.
In a press release posted to Trump’s campaign website, it was announced that the chairmen of nine major House committees were officially endorsing the celebrity real estate mogul for president.
Those chairmen and their respective committees include: Steve Chabot, Ohio (Small Business), Michael Conaway, Texas (Agriculture), Jeb Hensarling, Texas (Financial Services), Candice Miller, Michigan (House Administration), Jeff Miller, Florida (Veterans’ Affairs), Tom Price, Georgia (Budget), Pete Sessions, Texas (Rules), Bill Shuster, Pennsylvania (Transportation and Infrastructure), and Lamar Smith, Texas (Science, Space and Technology).

These powerful members of Congress released a joint statement declaring, “We stand on the precipice of one of the most important elections of our lifetime. This great nation cannot endure eight more years of Democrat-control of the White House. It cannot afford to put Democrats in charge of Congress.
“It is paramount that we coalesce around the Republican nominee, Mr. Donald J. Trump, and maintain control of both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate,” they wrote.
“Any other outcome is a danger to economic growth, puts our national security in peril, enshrines ObamaCare as the law of the land, entraps Americans in a cycle of poverty and dependence, and undermines our constitutional republic,” the statement continued.
“There is a path to winning in November, and it comes through unity,” concluded the collection of chairmen. “To solidify this partnership, we endorse Mr. Trump as the Republican nominee for president and call upon all Americans to support him.”
In response to this yuuuge collective endorsement, Trump replied, “It is tremendous to be working with these leaders and their colleagues on winning solutions that will really move us forward. A strong House Republican Majority is imperative to fixing the problems facing America and making our country better and stronger than ever before.”
