Shorting, short and distort, naked shorting and the like requires free shares. Those free shares are the ones that we all own bit are doing nothing with. They, the bashing losers or the losers they work for, "borrow" our shares until they are done with them or until we require them. And they manipulate the price to shake out the week hands and short the stock and reap profits for free.
