I seriously doubt that either are neutral RE the survival of Israel as a Jewish state. On the other hand Israel NEEDS an 'honest broker' to attempt a peace process.
Israel got it's bunker buster bombs from us and we are completely intertwined with them on the development/deployment of their iron Dome missile defense.
Notwithstanding Netanyahu's Beep Beep the Road Runner cartoon bomb presentation, the nuke deal with Iran is intrusive enough to buy lead time for a military response, if necessary.
Pretending, as most Republicans in Congress do, that the status quo ante-Iran deal was advantageous for Israel or for us is not supportable by facts.
