The article that x10 posted is basically just different reasons why companys come to a settlement and different strategys attorneys may use to get there .sometimes it is better to settle early in a case if the evidence is stacked against you. This is certainly the case if you don't want evidence that is against you getting out were other companys can sue and use it against you. Some may settle because of the expense of attorneys.The article gives just the pros and cons of when you settle early in a case or late and how it can effect it and the amount of money in a settlement. Goodspeed and cj brought up the point yesterday that plaintiffs don't delay cases. They caught the red flag instantly. For what reason did kbm do this? Evidence stacked against them?
