I don't think it was necessarily 'better'. Anyone

FYI..
Found an interesting article which details the history of SCIE; where we were, where we are, and where we're going..
(link will probably only work from original post)

Thoughts from this article:
SCIE has literally turned itself around; from a bankrupt company to one which is about to commence sales in Europe.
Jim Hitchin, the former CEO of SCIE, sold one of his companies for $66 million dollars (Infrasonics in 1996).
The original SpectraScience team spent $55 million developing optical biopsy technology.
Hitchin and others spent about $50,000 to acquire the technology in 2004 out of SpectraScience’s bankruptcy. GREAT DEAL!
Oncoscope used to be SCIE's competition but now is part of Spectrascience.
In 2006, SCIE acquired MediaSpectra of Lexington, MA.
The LUMA device no longer exists as a stand alone unit. SCIE cleaned up their act and focused on the WavSTAT.
When this article was written, SCIE was just beginning to set up distribution all over Europe.
Remember from previous posts; it can take a decade or longer to go from concept to sales. Seeing the majority of the things written in the article occurred in 2006, you clearly see we are a decade in and things are finally pointing towards sales.
In 2009, the company was trying to market its WavSTAT system for colonoscopies in the United States, but learned it was more efficient to sell it to Europe first; which is exactly what is happening as we speak.
In 2009, SpectraScience has also begun recruiting participants for a clinical trial intended to evaluate the use of WavSTAT as a way to detect throat cancer . This is a very important point. When this article was written, Oncoscope was their competition. Oncoscope was developing (with Duke), technology which would detect Barrett's esophagus. As of this post, we see the tide has turned. SCIE now has access to Oncoscope's technology and is already involved in trials for this disease. This is what we would call PROGRESS. I believe SCIE is going to release a new, completely separate product relatively soon for Barret's esophagus.
Is SCIE a slow moving stock? Absolutely. Does an investor need patience? Absolutely. But this article shows the resilience of SCIE's team and their determination to market a product which can and will save lives.
Let's get to that golden cross!
