Funny that I had to read all the way to the end and then through the comments to get the 'balanced view'.

As for the election, seriously? The vast majority of Dems, as well as Republicans, are covered under employer based health insurance plans or under Medicare.

The employed know the truth about premium, co-pay and deductible hikes pre-ACA, and of course they know about pre-ACA pre-existing conditions, lifetime limits on coverage, cancellations and COBRA.

MOST will vote against Trump!

Most health plans remain optimistic the markets will eventually stabilize. Security Health Plan, which does business in 41 Wisconsin counties, attracted three times as many exchange customers as anticipated during its first year of Obamacare business.

“Was it a financial winner? No,” said John Kelly, the health plan’s chief marketing and operations officer. “We expected to take losses and we did.”

But the losses weren’t significant enough to pose a threat to the nonprofit plan’s stability, and it expects to get better at assessing the costs of its Obamacare customers with each year.

“We are not leaving our markets,” Kelly said. “We are committed to these communities we serve.”

The same low-info types will keep saying that they saw this coming and that Obamacare is a failure.

They won't mention that the rates are lower because insurance companies can't overcharge you. They won't mention that insurance companies can't raise their rates unless they submit a budget that proves that they need to raise rates in order to cover care.

They won't mention that the last few years had much less healthcare inflation than before Obamacare. They won't mention that insurance companies can't save money by denying your claims. They won't mention that Obamacare is still lowering deficits.

They will just keep pretending that when private insurance companies raise their rates, like they did every year that insurance companies existed, it is all because of Obamacare.
