Chopper, Taking your question at face value, I

Taking your question at face value, I'll tell you my practice when researching a new stock. For a stock like CTIX, with much information available, I will read the last 1000 messages here on IHangout and the last 1000 at IHub - for a start. Look at the material provided at the company's website. Look at the aggregate links posted by a few posters here and at the other site.
I also go through other sites which list insider transactions to see if the management's stated confidence is matched by their actions buying and selling shares. When they make sunny pronouncements but are regularly selling significant amounts of shares, stop, do not pass go. If managers have already achieved voting control thru their shares, no further buying is needed. If they do not have control, further buying is positive.
You quickly learn to distinguish (speaking of board posts) who has done good research (like SLCImmuno, and a few others) and you follow the links to original articles they provide. You also quickly learn who is just bashing for the sake of bashing and probably have ulterior motives. There are a few people in between.
This way, you learn 95 percent of what you need to know and have little likelihood of annoying posters. Folks who do not do their basic research are immediately suspect of being bashers trying out a new identity, especially here, where we do not tolerate bashers.
The reasons Jorgenson left have been speculated to no end. There are many many posts on the subject.
