Optical biopsies... Here to stay.

Some thoughts. If you think Spectrascience is the only company enlightened by the countless benefits of optical biopsies... think again.

The company which designed this technology for prostate cancer is a subsidiary of Allied Minds which has a current share price of $384 per share . In the case of the WavSTAT, PENTAX is working with Spectrascience. Huge corporations are catching on to the future of optical biopsies. If there was no possible future, they wouldn't be wasting their time and money.

Every day, more and more companies are seeing the benefits of 'real-time tissue classification'. I believe the medical community is at an important crossroads in history. As of this post, I believe within the next 3 to 5 years (possibly sooner), Spectascience will become a subsidiary of either PENTAX or Olympus (pure opinion and not investment advice).
I think companies who do not understand the benefits of optical biopsies, who continue to invest solely in standard biopsy procedures, and refuse to keep up with technological progress, will ultimately fail .
Thomas Watson, chairman of IBM in 1943 once said,
Naysayers always.. ALWAYS win during the present time because they know no one can prove them wrong for the time being.

For myself, the miniscule risk I am taking right now being invested in Spectrascience is completely outweighed by the possible, and in my opinion, probable success of the technology. If SCIE fails, no big deal, I didn't invest more than I can afford to lose. I don't try to 'buy on the dips', and I don't focus on individual red days. But if and when we see a 10Q with sales of over $100,000, it will only further enhance my belief that we are on the road to success.

There are two areas I believe will be largest investment wins of our time; Optical Biopsies and 3D printing. Hey, I could be wrong- but just like today we say, "Man if only I could have invested in Apple December 12, 1980 I'd be rich!", in 20 years future investors are going to wish they had invested in optical biopsy and 3D printing companies. Time will tell.
