For our NC peeps: Dear Friend, My hometown newspaper

For our NC peeps: Dear Friend,

My hometown newspaper recently asked me a bit of a point blank question, and I gave a point blank answer. They didn’t try to get fancy with the question, and I didn’t try to get highfalutin’ with my answer.

My answer came from the gut, not from some high dollar political consultant (because, well, I don’t have any political consultants — and don’t need one to tell me what’s in my heart).

Take 90 seconds and read it. Hey, if you find yourself inspired, toss the campaign a few dollars! (Pretty please?)

THE MOORESVILLE TRIBUNE:

“Why should people vote for you?”

KAY DALY:

“Warning: Liberals should NOT vote for me, because I will endlessly and consistently disappoint and annoy them. Conservatives and principled Republicans with traditional American values who believe in a strong national defense and REAL border security and who don't think 'God' is a dirty word should vote for me.

Voters who are sick and tired of political correctness and overly sensitive homosexuals and pro-abortion feminists and gun-grabbers and Mother Earth worshippers and overspending and over-regulation and endless taxation should vote for me.

Anyone who sees the insanity of burdening our children with trillions of dollars of debt we borrow from the communist Chinese to pay for free schooling and welfare for illegal aliens, and for sex change operations for the tragically confused should vote for me.

Those who think our President has shredded the constitution, done nothing to stop Islamic terrorists, and cravenly betrayed our ally Israel by giving Iran the nuclear bomb should vote for me.

For these good citizens I will be a shining beacon on a hill above a swamp of gutless politicians who care more about getting reelected than saving the republic.

I am not going to Washington to make friends, and I probably won't be very well liked, because every time some politician or lobbyist comes to me begging money for some special project, I am going to say, "What part of twenty trillion dollars in debt do you not understand?"

I am going to fight the liberals in the Democratic Party and the cowards in my own Republican Party — and those in Republican leadership who surrender to the Left far too easily, too often, and in matters that are far too important.

If that's not what you want, find another candidate, because THAT is exactly what I am going to give you in Washington. So I may not be there very long. Vote for me, pray for me, and pray for our republic – it is on the edge.”

There you have it.

Not everyone agrees with me on these things, but enough do, and everyone should. Those of us who do, MUST stand together during times like these.

Like every other campaign, mine needs fuel to operate, or we’re dead in the water, no matter how right we are on the issues. If we get the financial support to get our message to the voters, we win a seat in Congress, and have two full years to ride this bull through the streets of Washington.

If the campaign doesn’t get the cash it needs, this congressional seat will not just go away: it will go instead to some bootlicking wannabe who votes however he’s told to vote by a corrupt leadership that values reelection more than it values this country and our children’s future.

You know it’s true. Please slip on over to my website and make the most generous contribution you can. Leave an investment in your country’s future. It will be well spent.

In Liberty,
